My name is Rory Crater, and I am a photographer who loves exploring different areas of photography. Through my art, I mainly explore subject matters such as theater, products, and portraits that people may not see every day, often using theatrical props and makeup. I find inspiration in dramatic lighting and bold colors that capture the subject's beauty. Above all, I value the creative process and the discovery of new things I can do with my art.
I feel as though I was born with a camera in my hand, and I have continued that journey in college. Through my education, I have worked with the performing arts department, doing everything from headshots to live shows and behind-the-scenes work in dance. My interest in photography does not end on the stage, however. A studio setting also calls to me for creative and dramatic portraits and product photography.
I will graduate from Endicott College with a bachelor's in fine arts in 2027. I have been published in the Endicott Review for the past 3 years, as well as done an internship with the Shalin Liu Performance Center in Rockport.
